The Annual Campaign
Each year in mid-August, the Wiregrass United Way kicks off its annual fund raising campaign.
It is the proceeds from this campaign that fuel the members agencies and programs that make a
difference in the community.
The main focus of the campaign is the organization and follow-through of
"Employee Campaigns," where a fund-raising drive is held inside a particular company's workforce.
This type of fund-raising is the most effective, cost efficient process for raising charitable
dollars, and it is what gives United Way the capacity to empower change in the community.
We ended our 2006-2007 campaign at
$2,557,278.

There are many companies which run campaigns in the very begining stages of the campaign. These organizations are called "Pacesetters" and we depend heavily on them to get the campaign off to a good start.
