Impact of the United Way
This section of the web site contains pages which describe the specific functions of the Wiregrass United Way which lead to measurable change in the community. We are not a "fundraising organization." Fundraising is a strategy which we imploy to achieve Impact. By this, we mean that we operate for the sole purpose of influencing people's lives for the better, and making the Wiregrass a place which foster sucessful people from all walks of life.

Member Agencies The non-profit organizations in the community that we fund with donor contributions are listed here, along with their agency codes and links to more info about each agency.
Focus Areas The four "Focus Areas" (Helping Youth Succeed, Meeting Basic Needs, Serving People with Special Needs, and Strengthening Families and Individuals) are discussed in this page.
Programs The United Way does more than just channel funds to other non-profits. Here, the various services and programs we administer are described.
Funds Distribution The most important thing we do is the efficient dispersment of funds to the most effective agencies and programs possible. Our process for doing this is found here, along with the Allocation History of our agencies.
Seeking Assistance Do you need help, or know someone who needs help? This section of the site provides a list of the various organizations that can render aid during a time of crisis or struggle.
News Article Archive The News Articles page is an archive of the press releases and news announcements that we produce, in chronological order. While only 4 or 5 of the most recent stories are on the Home Page, this section gives you access to all the news items produced since the beginning of the 2003-2004 Campaign.
