Doing What Matters
United Way knows that people like you really want to make a difference in your community. We want to be your partner.

Our experience tells us that the best way to help the most people is to target our community's most serious problems— and then focus on the underlying causes of those problems. It takes the whole community—working together—to pull it off.

Because United Way is focused on the bottomline results: the lives we change and the communities we shape. And we know that's what matters to you.

Life can have unexpected turns.
Disaster can strike any family at any time, and can take the form of a tornado, a lay-off, an illness, or a poor personal decision. What makes these events bearable is the fact that there are organizations in this country who strive to make these troubles disappear when possible.

The Wiregrass United Way is driven by a mission which dictates that we provide efficient outcomes to the social problems faced by the citizens in our area. It gives the community a way for citizens to put aside personal agendas, to join with others to identify the human care issues that matter most, to develop a plan of action, and to get the problems solved.
