For over 85 years, the Wiregrass United Way has stood as a beacon of hope and change in our community. Today, United Is The Way that we address the most pressing challenges facing our neighbors, and our mission has never been more vital.
New research reveals a sobering reality: nearly half of all Alabama households—46%—struggle to afford basic needs like housing, food, transportation, and healthcare. Even our most essential workers, the backbone of our community, often earn wages that fall short of what it takes to not just survive, but thrive.
Through the generous support of businesses and individuals throughout the Wiregrass, we mobilize our community to action by partnering with 40 local agencies that directly address these challenges. Every dollar you contribute helps families move from crisis to stability, from surviving to thriving.
