Wiregrass United Way is a locally-governed 501 (c)3 nonprofit organization that has had roots in the Wiregrass since 1938. Overseen by a community-conscious board of directors and operated by a small, dedicated staff, we are committed to maintaining and modeling the highest standards.
We are driven by the dedication and generosity of volunteers and donors working together to help our community. As we focus on key issues in our community affecting quality of life, accountability is even more critical. The Wiregrass United Way has proudly achieved a 4-Star rating from Charity Navigator! This is their highest possible rating and indicates that the Wiregrass United Way adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way--approximately only a quarter of rated charities achieve a 4-Star rating!
Put simply, the WUW is accountable, transparent and financially healthy!
