Barbour County Area Manager
Kent is originally from Knoxville, TN, and earned his Bachelor’s degree in Geography from the University of Tennessee in 1995. He and his wife Dawn moved to Barbour County in 2001, and he became the Director of Family Service Center Barbour (The Clearing House) in 2009. In 2011, he also became the area manager for the Barbour County United Way. Barbour County became part of Wiregrass United Way on April 1, 2015. Kent and Dawn run a horse trail riding operation from their home, and they play music locally in their music group, Balin’ Twine. Kent graduated from Leadership Barbour in 2010.
